The story pyramid
A well told story will linger in the minds of your customers for a longer while. The central character of your story is the person that your audience will connect with emotionally. You can choose different characters in different campaigns. It can be a mascot, a celebrity or even your customers. To build up suspense you may also need an antagonist, which you want your audience to fight against.
Stories can be short and interesting videos, images or jingles. The more memorable you make your story the higher will be the chances for your advertisement to become viral. You can even ask your regular customers to share their experiences in a video interview that can be shared in social media. This approach will make your audience relate with your brand.
Highlight the importance of your location in your story. Your business location shouldn’t be just a place you set up your shop as it should have some importance in the culture of your business. For instance if you are a leading cookie brand, you can highlight the importance of the location that is famous for its premium quality wheat and nuts that goes into your product.
You can even use the city and its culture as your story thread. For instance, the historical New York City for your Thanksgiving Day Parade advertisements, featuring the same man enjoying the parade, year after year will leave nostalgia and the passage of time in the minds of the audience.
By getting your employees involved you can give a human face to your brand and help them get a hang of the activities in your company. It will make your brand a bit more special and personal to your audience. Unveiling the personal things will make your campaign more delightful and special for your audience.
