How does reusable shopping and grocery tote bags affect psychology and induce responsible buying behavior? Do not be puzzled on this question because some studies suggest that customers carrying reusable custom shopping and grocery tote bags are likely to practice responsible buying behavior. They are more likely to have better quality and eco-friendly buying practices than those depending on plastic and paper totes.
Researchers at Harvard Business School have suggested that consumer-buying patterns largely deferred when it came to those use reusable bags than those who didn’t. They centered their studies at a large department store in California and found that people were more likely to buy organic and natural food items and products than others. At times, they also rewarded their taste senses by indulging with items such as candy bars, ice cream, cookies, and potato chips. Researchers concluded that people who carried their reusable bags thought themselves as responsible and tried to make more responsible choices than others did. These experimentation were perfected over innumerable online surveys and studies, which showed that people using reusable totes thought their actions, will help to minimize impact on atmosphere.
These researches showed people who were carrying reusable grocery and shopping totes (produced from natural fibers) were conscientious about their purchases and they always thought of buying small portions or sensible portions to make enough room for other healthy items in their bags. They always wanted that their families enjoy healthy foods and gave importance on minimizing food and energy waste.
Today, single use-plastic bags are banned in many cities because they are known to clog water bodies and harm atmosphere. With increasing attention on eco-friendly, branding marketers are also considering reusable shopping and grocery totes for gifting. Many more studies are being conducted to ascertain influence of reusable shopping and grocery bags on human psychology. Taking a cue from these studies, grocery stores and other responsible business avenues can redesign their outlets to position more organic and healthy foods /items ahead by pushing synthetic items to corner. By doing so, they are not only going to honor their customers, but also position themselves as social and eco-friendly business.
If you are a marketer, who always tried to save on customized totes made of eco-friendly fibers thinking that they are costly, then we would say that you are absolutely wrong. Because these totes are not only budget-friendly, but also going to position you as an eco-friendly brand and carve a responsible shopper out of your customer!
