The 2014 report of ppai.org sheds interesting insight on the influence of various marketing events in the sales volume of businesses.
Promotion of brand awareness and loyalty that contributes 14.43 of the total sales volume is in the top of the list. Marketers employ various promotional techniques to enhance their loyalty some of which includes the following:
- Referral Programs: Encourage your users to spread the word about your service by giving them perks and referral incentives in the form of discount coupons, incentive points or freebies.
- Inspiring Guest Content: Guest blogs and posts will add up to the relevance and popularity of your site and it makes a potent means to promote your name in the industry. Valuable posts and feedback from the users will draw new customers as reviews and recommendations influence the shopping patterns of people.
- Infographics: An engaging and colorful way to display the marketing data, infographics often gets shared far and wide, thereby building your brand name.
Business gifts: Business gifts contribute to 11.72% of total sales volume. Free gifts are well appreciated by everyone and it strengthens the customer relationship of your company. By handing out practical and inspiring gift ideas that your recipients can actually use in their daily lives, your logo can earn regular impressions.
Choose promotional gifts that are not too tacky or expensive as logo gifts are for showing your gratitude and building relationships. Many dealers find participation in a dealer program highly useful in enhancing their relationships with the other players in the industry and in building a client base that may not have been possible otherwise.
New customers add up to 7.27% of the total sales volume of marketers: Finding your target audience will have a major impact in the total sales volume. To attract more new customers, you have to cater to their needs and carry out a market research to find the core customer group that is beneficial for your business. Attract new customers with gifts and keep them well motivated with incentives and referral points.
