Now that most remote teams are back in office in full strength, it makes a great time for employers to choose team building activities for employees. However, to make it effective and engaging you have to put on your creative caps to come up with something exciting. Ideally the team building activities you choose should reinforce your relations with employees while enhancing their brand loyalty.
Here are a few ideas that will help you get started
Corporate Lunch
Hosting a luncheon party is obviously the best way to let your employees open up and share their skills that not many people may know . However, it need not be essentially about work-related skills but can even be something mundane like baking or stitching. Likewise, it can in fact be on any topic that employees want to talk about.
Brainstorming
Further, brainstorming is a proven way to bring out the best of your employees . Choose any of your major projects and organize a brainstorming session where everyone can come together with their unique ideas. In addition, encourage them to post it on whiteboard for further discussions.
Book Club
You can also host a book club once in a while to discuss any relevant business book that might reflect your brand or even choose a fiction to give your team a much desired break from work.
Fun Contest
Likewise, hosting fun contests in office is a great way to spice up the work day. You can choose any theme that your employees can relate with. Ask employees to submit ideas for contest themes and the best entries can be rewarded with appropriate promotional gifts.
Treasure Hunt
Treasure hunt has been a traditional team building activity. The employees will make different teams as they set out to find the hidden treasure. It is indeed a great way to boost team spirit and helps the employees to work as a team towards a common objective.
Games
Easy to host in office, games can include the favorite board games of the employees like Tumble Tower. Divide into teams to play it and offer break time between different games. Encourage them to mingle and play on different teams to foster employee unity.
Trivia Night
Probably the most popular of all the above, hosting your own trivia night at your office will be a great way to get your employees cheered up. It can even be held at a local pub or bar if you are a smaller group. Set up an interesting trivia question list and some custom corporate gifts on hand as prizes for the winning team.
