The month of April is famous for being Autism awareness month apart from a million other reasons like the April showers or the balmy weather. As per the 2014 reports of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 1 in 68 children in USA have autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Started way back in 1970, Autism awareness month is observed to spread awareness on this condition and to ensure them opportunities for a better life.
Apart from awareness drives, marketers can choose to conduct fund raising events for local charity by organizing walks, concerts, cook outs and golf days. Businesses, schools and nonprofit foundations plan community events to educate and support the cause.
Autism awareness month will make a perfect time for businesses to increase awareness on autism and to brand their name with the cause. So, if you have been looking for handouts other than customary awareness ribbon magnets or multi colored puzzles, which have always been representations of autism, here are a few gift ideas for fund raising and awareness events.
T shirts: One of the most popular custom gifts ever, T shirts can be effectively used not just to build brands but to spread awareness on autism. These make great options to promote schools, health clinics and counseling centers.
Towels: Planning to organize a walkathon to highlight the cause of autism? If yes, these custom towels will make great handouts. Imprint your logo and autism awareness message and hand it out to your audience and see how your goodwill gets a notch better with these social messages.
Ceramic mugs: Leave your message in the daily lives of your recipients with these logo items. Every time they enjoy their morning coffee or play a host to someone, your message will surely grab their attention. Cost effective and functional, mugs make wonderful gift options for mass events like health fairs or community events.
Pens and pencils: Reach out to the children who may be suffering from autism by handing out these writing supplies. Imprint your logo and message and see how your message will get a wider audience in their family and friends circle.
Toys: The easiest way to highlight the concern of autism among kids will be through fun toys and novelties. Be it Yo Yo , balloons, jump rope or coils, these logo items will convey your social message in the most emphatic manner.
So, if you have not been seriously thinking about autism awareness campaigns all these days, you still have a few more days in April to catch up and to be part of this noble cause. Hurry!
