Five Thanksgiving pickles to try, on this national pickle day!

Halloween is over; Now, its pickle time! Thanksgiving is almost here, and if you haven’t thought about pickles yet, you should! November 14th is National Pickle Day. If you are a pickle lover, you’ve got a lot to do on this day.
NB: If you consider pickle as a side piece, this blog is not for you. This is for those people who believe pickles as a main dish.
Every pickle lovers would have preferences, depending upon taste, texture, and even shapes! It could be sweet, sour, mild, spicy, cut in halves, spears, maybe chips. Don’t forget about the crazy flavors, too, such as habanero, horseradish, and even whiskey! This National pickle day, let’s try some pickles. Just try your luck on these pickles on National Pickles day and keep them stored for your thanksgiving dinner!
Oyster Pickles
Raw Oyster? Gross! Pickled raw oysters? Totally Gross, right?!! But this is actually good, guys! You should try this for Thanksgiving this year. One minute you may hate it, but ultimately you are going to love it! You may have tried poached, stewed, grilled, smoked, or fried oysters, but this pickle day, you should try pickled oysters!
Chipotles
Pickled Chipotles will make your Thanksgiving into a Mexican one! Chipotle can spice up your Thanksgiving into a fiery one. Chipotle peppers will give us a combination of flavors, particularly a taste that is smoky, spicy and sweet at the same time. Get ready for some serious snacking!
Watermelon Rind Pickles
Watermelon pickles are not unusual. You’ve got to store those white rinds and pickle them. This can be consumed on its own or as a side to your Thanksgiving turkey! This can be a tasty addition fro dressing the turkey. Not only that, you can pickle it for any taste, be it sweet, sour, spicy, or chutney flavor, watermelon can deal it all!
Shrimp
Another treat for seafood lovers- Shrimp! This southern recipe can be prepped using raw shrimps. Pickled shrimp is one of those party dishes that have everyone rushing into the kitchen to see how you made it. This is the best choice for cocktail parties and holiday gatherings. You can even poach it before pickling if you are not used to the raw taste of shrimp!
Bitter Melon
You might be skeptic about this one, cause its actually “bitter melon”! This underappreciated vegetable, when made into pickle tastes better, not bitter! By adding veggies like radish, carrots, and shallots, the bitter taste can be reduced. Bitter melon chutneys and pickles are the best when they are served with lamb, curry dish or vegetarian stew. Let’s give one more chance to bitter melon; prepare bitter melon pickle for this Thanksgiving!
