Meet 3 girls who shook the world on this #DayoftheGirl

In the past few years, we have seen girls raising their voice, reaching out to the public, and demanding their rights like never before. We may recollect the one who started it, in front of a public audience, probably Emma Watson! Emma was appointed UN goodwill ambassador in July 2014 and from that day, we have seen huge efforts from her side to create women empowered world! And five years passed, now we can see a lot of emerging girls out there, speaking for their rights! On this International Day of the Girl, let us meet three such girls, who shook the world with their voice!

Malala Yousafzai

The youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, Malala Yousafzai! This girl started a revolution for the girls around the world, and her prime demand was to receive an education without any restrictions. She was honest about the amendments she wanted to witness. She received Nobel prize for her struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education.

Emma Gonzalez

Emma Gonzalez, another survivor from gunfire, that killed 17 people altogether! Witnessing such cold-blooded murder, she herself became an activist and raised her powerful voice against violence. Her speech at the “March For Our Lives” event stilled the world for the six minutes and 20 seconds that she stood in silence before explaining that was the amount of time it took a shooter to kill 17 people at her school.

We want civilians to have to go through more rolls of red tape to get what they want, because if any of that tape can stop those who shouldn’t own a gun from owning a gun, then our government will have done something right.”

Greta Thunberg

The new sensation, Greta Thunberg is just like a storm in presenting her ideas regarding environmental activism. This 16-year-old girl has inspired millions to take notice of the climate crisis. Greta drew the attention of the world by turning up outside the Swedish Parliament for 3 weeks to urge her government to act on the climate crisis. Thunberg has also become the favorite with British betting companies to receive this year’s Nobel. She is considered the most likely winner of the peace prize for the coming year.
