To participate in any massive events like tradeshows takes a substantial investment. So, to make the most of these crowded and massive events like tradeshows, business owners should have a well planned strategy. Custom merchandise has always been a keyfactor in making business events successful and ensuring a decent ROI.
Custom gifts drive the crowd
It is an open secret that custom gifts are the best ways to attract visitors to the stand and increase brand recall. However, if you do not follow a proper distribution pattern, you may end with empty gift containers in no time. Watch out for people who may be interested only in the freebies and not in your business. To make sure that your logo gifts reach only those clients that matter to your business, keep your promotional gifts in the middle of the stand where it will be difficult for freebie collectors to grab and go.
Follow a three level distribution pattern to reach out to your existing customers and new leads alike.
Level 1 : Your team will be the best to judge whether a visitor is prospective or not. They can test the waters by engaging the visitors with a couple of customary qualifying questions along with the offer of a low cost item like pens, keychains or chocolates.
Level 2 : Once your team finds that the visitor is a good prospect, you can try to engage them by filling out a contact form and exploring their shopping habits. You can hand out custom gifts like power banks, custom travel mugs, smartphone stands and other gifts that are more valuable and practical for such visitors.
Level 3 : Visitors that qualify to the third level will be comparatively fewer. So, you may need only a limited stock of custom gifts in this level. Once you have gathered all the relevant information from the prospects and shared your information, your team has to follow up with these leads after the event to encourage business. Why not set up a site visit or offer a free product trial or test drive to take the customers into confidence. Some of the logo gifts that can be considered in this level of sales will be leather tote bags, laptop bags, portfolios and more.
Imprint your brand and call to action by highlighting your products and services. Imprint the event and date of event, on these logo items that will remind your recipients about your brand in a subtle manner sans any direct sales talk.
Custom merchandise makes a great marketing tool in any business event and when used along with advertising and other publicity drives these will fetch you quality leads that your business need badly.
